Taboo Yardies is Selena Blake's grass roots and ground-breaking film that dares to speak the name of Jamaica's ultimate societal taboo - homosexuality.

Model/actress/filmmaker Selena asserts:

"...gays, straight people, transsexuals, whomever, need to sit down and talk about this issue honestly because it's not going away."

"As a child growing up in rural Jamaica I knew of "battie-man" i.e. gays being teased but surely not beaten or hacked to death because of their sexual orientation. Whatever your morals or ethical standards might be, perpetrating violence on anyone based on his or her religion, color, race or sexual orientation is just wrong."Taboo Yardies" is my contribution to a long overdue conversation amongst Jamaican families and hopefully families globally."

"I have funded this documentary for 2 years now almost entirely from my own earnings. Completion requires YOUR support. Please help with your donations."
